Stars and Constellations

Stars and Constellations, I am working on this piece and I just don't know what do make it into. The Fabric is a stretch denim. I love this material, I would love pants made out of it and it is glittery.  I put sequins with a bead in the center for the main stars in the constellation, and just made star with embroidery thread for the two other stars not quite in it. This is the Seven sisters constellation there are 8 stars in it because Sterope is made up of two stars. the other two stars are the Parents of the Seven sisters. It feels just a little folksy to me. I am torn as to whether I should make a bag out of it or cut the fabric and turn it over and finish it off in the hoop as a wall hanging.

A Mug Swap

In the swaps I am doing this is the Mug swap. which is funny because the thing not in this post is the Mug. I made a tea wallet. A reversible yarn bag. It is designed so that is can have one skein of yarn in it and you can pull the yarn from the top there are pockets all the way around on both the inside and the outside. (remember reversible) it is opposite colors on the inside. there is a hair stylist charm Bracelet (guess what my partner does for a living) There are stitch markers and a stitch marker carrier that is a crocheted flower, she is also a crocheter. She likes earthy and green so I hope I pick out good colors for her. I got her a stainless steel mug, I will post that next week if I don't do that tomorrow. I did have to get material for this project a half yard of each of the green. I had the yarn for the flower, I also bought the charms and clasps that I used for the stitch markers. Oh yah and Chocolate because every thing is better with it. I had the bracelet I had got years ago and planed to use the charms for a pin for my mother but she quite doing hair and went to nursing instead. Most every thing was on sale clearances or I had a coupon to get is 40% off or more. I try never to go into a craft store with out a coupon in hand. every thing fits into the pockets of the bag and it is so small when it is all gathered I hope she is surprised as she unpacks it.

Another swap

I am sending this set out in the Nov Birthday swap. I am not receiving Just sending in this one. I participated in the May Birthday swap and I received from people who were not getting anything so I wanted to pass on the deed. I have to admit every thing is from my stash. Meaning I didn't buy anything just for the people. There are two persons I am sending to. When I picked them they didn't have anyone eals sending to them and that is why I chose them. I also knew I had stuff that was on there lists. Package 1 is going to the Netherlands and Package 2 is going to GA.
I made the Buttons (I have a Button Maker)
The Metal Buttons are mostly plastic they're going to someone who works at Renfairs and like Steam Punk, The squares of fabric are 4 inch and they are stacks of each type for her to put toward making a patch work skirt. The jewelry I either won in a silent audition charity swap or won as a prize in the SCA. Then there are random bits for trim. I either got them and they are left overs or they were in remnant bags. I made a bag to ship it in.
The second set are random Buttons, and some sparkly trim bits and crochet face scrubbies, some strawberry beads,then a big stack of felt. and some smaller felt remnants (the felt is made from Recycled Bottles by the way)

Apron for a child

I am working on some X-mas Presents for my friends Children this is a apron for one of them
I am thinking of putting a pocket but I worry about stuff being left in it and it being washed. Also since they are using it for cooking, stuff can spill into pockets of little people and that would be really messy too. so I think I will leave the pockets off. As you may be able to tell it is made from a pair of denim jeans. I used double fold bias tape for the edging and ties.

What I am working on, well some of it.

I am making a carry all bag as a gift out of this material
then the purple with butterflies is for a new piece of garb for my DD this The yellow is one of her old pieces that she has had for 4 years at least.
and she wants a new piece for Crystal Ball. I will be making that this weekend I made a fabric pattern already.
